On days when there are no jobs to do, and it is not fun to sit at home on the computer because the sun is tempting, I like to follow the good-weather-imperative. This is the invitation of the beautiful weather to come outside and make use of it. I then regularly sit on the saddle of my mountain bike and follow my nose. Sure, the camera is always with me ?
The following pictures were taken almost all on 8 May 2018 on a short tour on the Swiss side of the Rhine from Constance over Stein am Rhein to Diessenhofen, and from there via Gailingen, Ramsen, Moos and Radolfzell back home.
The image fruits of this day show that different souls live in my breast. One of them loves the pure and clear to almost the kitsch, another prefers the same, but with a good pinch of the opposite. So I call Numero 1 May Ambience – Pure & Clean, the other May Ambience – Slightly Grungy 🙂

A very large piece of beautiful landscape on the outskirts of Constance-Wollmatingen (north of Hafner) is to be sacrificed to the housing construction. Housing units for 6,000 future residents are to be built here. The growth of Constance does not seem to stop.
In order to be accepted by the citizens, the city leaders not only try to keep their plans transparent for everyone, but they also invite all those interested to contribute ideas, wishes and suggestions. After all, that is a big step forward compared to previous decades.
For this purpose, the 1st Hafner civic forum took place in the upper Konzil hall in Constance.

For over a hundred years, the spring fair has been performing on the Döbele in Constance at spring time. As always, the classic Ferris wheel, ghost train, carousel and bumper cars (in South German language: Boxkärrele) are on the list of alluring rides this year. It starts this weekend.

Es gibt in Deutschland zu wenige Altenpfleger, und die, die es gibt, sind gestresst und unterbezahlt. Trotzdem sind viele darunter, die’s gern machen und Freude an ihrem Beruf haben. Barbara Evers im Seniorenzentrum Margarete Blarer in Konstanz gehört zu ihnen. Unermüdlich sucht sie nach neuen Möglichkeiten, den alten Menschen, die sie betreut, Lebensfreude zu schenken. Zu diesem Zweck startete sie unlängst ein Projekt mit Schülerinnen und Schülern des Ellenrieder-Gymnasiums, wobei junge und alte Generation aufeinandertreffen und sich bei gemeinsamen Unternehmungen gegenseitig kennenlernen, inspirieren und neue Horizonte öffnen.
Den Anfang dieses Projekts bildete ein Spielenachmittag, der heute im Margarete-Blarer-Haus durchgeführt wurde.

Das 5. Element, ein Restaurant in Radolfzell, ist bekannt und beliebt für seine kulinarischen Highlights und freundliche Bedienung. Bekannt und beliebt ist in Radolfzell auch das Bekleidungsgeschäft Dresscode Fashion. Und beide taten sich gestern zusammen, um eine Dinner-Modenschau (bzw. ein Modenschau-Dinner) anzubieten. Diese ungewöhnliche Kombination haben die beiden noch nie zuvor ausprobiert, aber einen Versuch hielten sie es für wert. Natürlich mit allem, was dazugehört: einem roten Teppich als Catwalk und zwei DJs, die mit ordentlichem Punch und unterhaltsamen Rhythmen den musikalischen Rahmen fürs Event schufen. Es scheint ein Erfolg gewesen zu sein, denn alle Beteiligten machten nach geglückter Vorstellung einen aufgeräumten, optimistischen Eindruck.
Da ich sehr pünktlich vor Ort war und einen Zeitvorteil hatte, nutzte ich die Gelegenheit, um vor der Show noch einen neugierigen Blick in die Küche zu werfen.
